Harrington Wines Mission Somers Vineyard 2017Mission or Pais, as it is know in Chile, is possibly the first grape used to make wine in California, brought to North America in the 1600's by Franciscan missionaries. Made by half carbonic maceration, partially foot stomped and whole cluster pressed, HW's mission is aged in neutral oak and stainless steel for three months. A fresh expression with red fruit, pomegranate and a lovely tangy finish. Best served on a light chill.
